Blower Door Testing is available if your just wondering how tight your house is. This is helpful in determing ventilation standards, heating and cooling loads, and if any mechanical ventilation is required for safety.

Test is approximately 1hr long and documentation will be given in terms of the amount of leakage and what it means.

 

Room by Room Heating and Cooling Loads ( Manual J) will give you a report of how much air must come out of each register  on a room by room basis for optimum comfort and efficiency. This may be used to make sure you are getting what you need from your heating contractor to ensure your comfort for yeas to come or as a design basis for the do-it-yourselfer. It’s simple, supply the correct amount of air to each room and it will be comfortable.
